Raid des Cèdres 2012
The Raid des Cèdres is the highest
ski-mountaineering competition in the Near-East. It is organized by the
Lebanese Army in the Lebanese mountains and is inspired from the Swiss
Patrouille des Glaciers.
Each year women and men from all around the world participate in civilian and
military categories.
A special “3 SUMMITS” program is proposed by the Lebanese Army to foreign
teams during which they will discover the three highest summits of Lebanon
(Qornet Es-Sawda, 3083m.; Sannine, 2600m.; Mont Hermon, 2840m.).
Transportation, accommodation and assistance are free of charge and ensured by
the Lebanese Army and the PolyLiban Association.
